Life Unlimited's H.E.L.P.
LIFE Unlimited is an outreach ministry of Larry Joe Wright Ministries.
Our goal is to reach out and help the hungry and needy in the Tarrant
County, Texas area. In 1996, Larry Joe listened as a local television
station reported that 50,000 children went to bed hungry every night
in the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex. God began stirring Larry Joe's
heart.
In November of 1998 Larry Joe and Linda begin to reach out to those
that were in need of food by working through other food ministries. In
1999 a Fort Worth Star-Telegram article reported that 65,000 children go
to bed hungry every night in TARRANT COUNTY alone. Life Unlimited Food
Ministry opened its first location in November of 1999 on North Grove St.,
not to just give hungry people free food, that would be another welfare
system. Rather, to teach people how to feed themselves and become
more prosperous and contributing members of society. They found a way
to make food distribution a tool to educate rather than become a mere
means to "hand outs"
The numbers in poverty are staggering and increasing...the people are
real. Texas is the third-hungriest state in the nation, 16 of every 100
households in need of food assistance. At LIFE Unlimited they are
receiving a " helping hand". They are being shown that they
can come out of poverty in to a better way of life and leave the welfare
system forever. Larry Joe and Linda are helping these people see that they
may have a problem, but no problem is to big that it can’t be worked out.
No one is discriminated against for any reason. Many food banks are
limited by zip code, but LIFE Unlimited is open to all in need. The
doors are opened every Thursday and Sunday night’s. Each person is ministered
to and given a hot meal and groceries for the week.
Proverbs 22:9
“Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.”
